Bangalore : Former chief minister Jagadish Shettar has said that the BJP was sure of a win in 20 constituencies in the state considering the high polling percentage.
Speaking to reporters here, he said “ Everyone wants to see Narendra Modi as the next prime minister.” Claiming that there was a pro-Modi wave in the state, Shettar said youth have voted in record numbers.”
To a question on whether it was proper to have the election code of conduct upto May 17, Shettar said this would hinder development and appealed to the Election Commission to reconsider the decision.
He said officials were ruling the roost in the state and that the words of the MLAs had no weightage. Several necessary works have been stalled citing poll code of conduct, he said.
