Bangalore : JD(S) Supremo and former prime minister HD Deve Gowda has said that no one can become the prime minister without his support.
Speaking after releasing the JD(S) manifesto here, Gowda also predicted that no single party would win a majority in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. “I am not bothered about the survey results on elections. But, I am sure that the third front led by the regional parties will play an instrumental role in forming the next government at the Centre,” Gowda said.
Both the BJP and the Congress will not get a clear majority required to form the government, further, he adds that it was owing to this reason that the parties are looking towards forming alliances with other parties.
“Some are stating that I will not win in Hassan, some others are saying that the JD(S) will be eliminated after the elections. But no one can finish the party, which has the backing of its workers,” Gowda said and indirectly thundered against State Minister DK Shivakumar.
