- In Bidar a 108 year old woman exercised her franchise
- In Bellary police reportedly assaulted media men
- In Sakleshpur, a voter vomited right on the Electronic Voting Machine
- An election staff died of cardiac arrest in Belgaum
- In Kengeri, a voter named Nanjundappa (65) succumbed to heart attack
- In Mangalore, an 80 year old woman named Gangamma died after exercising her franchise at a polling booth at Moodushedde
- Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency recorded 25 per cent voting where Karkala is leading with 31 per cent; Kundapur recorded 24 per cent; Udupi 22 per cent; Kaup 28 per cent and Byndoor 21 per cent. The records mentioned are till morning 11:30 a.m.
