Bangalore : If State Intelligence reports are to be believed, prominent politicians including former CM BS Yeddyurappa, Union Minister Veerappa Moily and senior BJP leader Ananth Kumar will face defeat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
As per rules, Intelligence Department has to submit three reports to the government during election. In the first report, it has predicted that the Congress and the BJP would win seats ranging from 9 to 12 , while the JD(S) will bag three to four seats. The report had also said that the AAP will not be able to open its account.
The Intelligence Department which conducted a survey in 28 Lok Sabha constituencies, has predicted a direct fight between the BJP and Congress in seven places and that of these the Congress has chances of win in Bangalore South, Bangalore Central and Mangalore. The report has also said that the Congress would retain its seat in Bangalore Rural while in Bangalore North former CM DV Sadananda Gowda would face tough contest.
The intelligence report also has said that Nandan Nilekani will win from Bangalore South due to split in votes.
The report has also mentioned that Union Minister Veerappa Moily may face defeat in Chikkaballapura due to the presence of former CM HD Kumaraswamy in the fray. At the same time, it has predicted a win for Geetha Shivarajakumar in Shimoga against BS Yeddyurappa.
