Bangalore : Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who has vowed to ensure victory for the Congress in 20 constituencies in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, is now said to be a worried lot with some ministers adopting a neutral stand, while some are even engaging in anti-party activities for the sole reason that their supporters or relatives did not get a chance to contest.

It is learnt, the Chief Minister who convened a meeting of candidates of all constituencies as well as party leaders and in-charge ministers at his home office Krishna, has issued certain instructions.

If HK Patil is already sore for denying ticket to his brother from Haveri, minister TB Jayachandra  too is unhappy for  refusing a chance to his son to contest from Tumkur. In Mandya, Ambarish supporters are reportedly not evincing interest in campaigning for Ramya. In Mangalore too, some were not happy with Janardhana Poojary’s candidature.

As far as Udupi-Chikmagalur LS constituency is concerned, the relationship between Congress candidate Jayaprakash Hegde and Udupi district minister Vinaykumar Sorake too is not cordial. While in Bidar and Gulbarga,  the ministers as well as MLAs from the region were  not favrouring the party candidates Mallikarjun Kharge and Dharam Singh.

All these developments have left the CM a worried lot and he has issued stern instructions to his ministers to ensure the win of the party candidates from their respective areas.
