Bangalore : Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has urged the public to reject the BJP which was inciting the religious sentiments of the Hindus and trying to disrupt communal harmony.

Addressing a huge convention of the Congress in Kolar, the chief minister said the BJP leaders who raised  bricks and money  from the public on the pretext of constructing Ram Mandir at Ayodhya have cheated the public. They have tried to divide the Hindus and Muslims. Such a party should never be allowed  to come to power, the CM said.

“In a first ever case, a chief minister of the state went to jail during the BJP term,” Siddaramaiah said referring to Yeddyurappa. The BJP MLAs have also offended the  temple of democracy by watching blue films in the assembly, he said.

People should give a serious thought to the anti-corruption mantra chanted by Narendra Modi that too at a time when he has corrupt leaders like Yeddyurappa, Sriramulu and Ananth Kumar in his party, the Chief  Minister further said.
The CM also spoke on the various welfare measures initiated by the Congress government and requested the voters to support the Kolar Congress candidate KH Muniappa in the upcoming elections.
