Mysuru: Women have great potential and have taken big strides in various walks of life. Theyare not lagging behind men, opined Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala Dr.Veerendra Heggade.
Emphasising on plans to empower women, he said, Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatha (SDM) institutions will start fresh courses for happy living.
The courses will provide legal help and other educational assistance in all SDM institutions, starting next year, he clarified. He recalled his family’s association with the Rajmatha Pramoda Devi’s royal family over the years on the occasion.
Inaugurating the Women’s Pre-University College by SDM group, Rajmatha Pramoda Devi said girls outperformed boys in the field of education and the institutions had a vital role to play. She said the youth will lead the nation by 2025 and called upon them to preserve the culture and spirituality and lauded the efforts of SDM group led by Dr.Heggade.
MLA Somashekar, Deputy Director of Pre-University Education Jayaprakash, former mayor Puroshotham were present among others on the occasion.
