Mysuru: Will Chief Minister Siddaramaiah candidate Siddarshrama of Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies be the 25th Vice chancellor of University of Mysore?

After more than six months of KS Rangappa demitting office as a Vice Chancellor of UOM, the university is yet to gets permanent VC.

Few days back the search committee shortlisted the candidates for the coveted post, but due to reason best known to Governor it is yet finalized.

After all scrutiny and canvassing, it seems Siddashrama who is backed by CM Siddaramaiah and Ashok Kumar from Bengaluru University who is backed by the RSS and the BJP are the frontrunners for the post. Search committee took nearly four months to finalize three names for the post of the Vice Chancellor. Last week they handed over the names to government who in turn handed over the same to the Governor.
