Valuation of SSLC answer scripts begin in Mysuru

Mysuru: The valuation for SSLC answer scripts began at six different centres in Mysuru city here on Thursday. More than 2600 teachers are on job to evaluate nearly 1, 48,000 answer papers. SSLC results are expected to be out on or before May 10.

Speaking to Newskarnataka, SP Nagaraj, Nodal officer for SSLC exam, Mysuru district said, “Valuation is being held at six different centres; Vijaya Vittala (Kannada), Nirmala School (English), Mathrumandali School (Hindi), St Joseph (Math), Mahajana School (Science) and Chinmaya School (Social Science). It will be completed in four to five days’ time. Nearly 36,000 Math papers and 28,000 each in Science, Hindi, Social Science and English will be evaluated. More than 2600 teachers; 600 teachers to evaluate Math answer scripts and 400 each for English, Social Science, Science, Hindi and Kannada have come from across the district to evaluation.

For each paper valuation, a teacher will be paid Rs 14.50. Everyday each evaluator will check 20 answer scripts. Elaborate security arrangements including Section 144 have been imposed at all the valuation centres. For smooth conduct of valuation, various squads and teams have also been formed.
