Mysuru: Two dancing deer died at Mysuru Zoo on Monday. The dancing deer are usually found in Manipur region and the north eastern parts of the country.
Kamala Karikalan, Executive Director, Mysuru Zoo, said that as per the autopsy report, both the deer had fractured their bones which indicated a fight in their enclosure. While one deer was around eight- years-old, the other was just two and the infighting may have been over dominance between the males.
