Mysuru: BJP MP Prathap Simha who often embroils himself into controversy on social media with unruly remarks has once again courted controversy on twitter by tweeting against former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Days after Karnataka government launched Indira Canteens in Bengaluru, Simha tweeted on Sunday, “Modi who was selling tea became prime minister, former prime minister Indira Gandhi opened canteen,” which has angered twitterati.
Several twitter users lashed out at the BJP MP. One of the user said, “first ask PM Modi to waive off farm loans then you comment about your state.”
Another user said, “what is your contribution to your constituency. People who elected you as the MP from Mysuru-Kodagu constituency have committed mistake. You play politics even with food.”
Another user asked Simha to start working instead of holding bucket to the PM Modi!
Several other enraged twitter users have re-tweeted and lashed out at him.
State government on August 15 launched Indira canteen in Bengaluru to serve sumptuous food at subsidised price, on lines of Amma Canteen in Tamilnadu.
