Mysuru: It’s really disgusting to see today’s visual media as the programme quality is below the standards and to make matters worse, judgemental too, rued “Nithyotsava” poet Prof. Nisar Ahmed on arrival to inaugurate Dasara–2017.
Thanking the district administration and the people for the love showered on him by bestowing the honour for the second time to inaugurate Dasara, Prof. K S Nisar Ahmed on arrival accompanied by his wife, expressed his views on a wide range of issues targeting media content.
Media has to be creative and constructive, said Prof Nisar adding the visual content lacked all of it. Trivial issues have been blown out of proportions and it has become a platform for judging, rued Prof. Nisar.
“With the invasion of mobiles, technology has moved closer to homes where a villager from a remote corner can access the content of interest. In such a scenario, media should strive to convey good message and help in the creation of structured aesthetic society,” Prof. Nisar suggested.
“More recently, literature too has fallen from grace like politics. Kannada has lost its original sheen in the cosmopolitan city of Bengaluru where it is contaminated but the city of Mysuru has held its richness and always draws me,” he said.
“I carry the message of peace to all the people in the state and wish peace and harmony prevails, said Prof .Nisar who is set to inaugurate Dasara festivities at Chamundi Hills in the presence of state Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
