Mysuru: For a change it was the turn of stray dogs in Dandikere village coming under the Chief Minister’s Varuna Assembly constituency. The hounds went on a biting spree injuring six people, who were later admitted to K R hospital in the city.

Shivaiah, Mahadevu and Raju suffered serious injuries among the six admitted to the hospital.

Villagers vented out anger against the Gram Panchayath President for failing to tackle the stray dog menace in the village despite several pleas.

Lack of equipment to capture stray dogs and the prevailing rules which prevent killing them are a hindrance, local GP president stated in response expressing his helplessness over the issue.
