Servant lands in police net for robbing master’s bike in Mysuru

Mysuru: A man who was riding his owner’s stolen bike was caught red-handed by the Saraswathipuram police here on August 25.

Mahadevaswamy alias Bajjiswamy had stolen his owner’s bike and was using it with a duplicate key. He had also changed the registration number and the color. On Thursday, police who were patrolling near Doddamari caught him and found out that the he was using stolen bike after he attempted to escape.

Accused Mahadevaswamy used to ride pillion with his owner and deliver newspapers. With a motive of stealing his owner’s bike, he made a duplicate key and stole when the owner had parked it near Maithri Arcade in Saraswathipuram. With a fancy number KA09-HD5000 he used the bike and had told the owner that it was a second-hand bike.
