Mysuru: The Save CFTRI Forum led by writers approached Chief Minister Siddaramaiah seeking his intervention in initiating action against CFTRI Director Ram Rajashekharan accusing him of alleged anti-Kannada activities, a charge denied by the CFTRI.
A team of writers met Siddaramaiah at his residence and complained to him about the alleged anti-Kannada stand from Ram Rajashekharan. The forum alleged that the director was anti-Kannada and taking the same stand in CFTRI since he took over as director of CFTRI.
Shivaram of Save CFTRI Forum said, “We briefed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah about alleged ill-treatment to Kannadigas at CFTRI. After we submitted the memorandum, CM assured to look into it and if found true, he will immediately write a letter to the central government to initiate action against the director. After he took charge as director of CFTRI, he has stopped Kannada tabloid Arogya Vignyana for which Kuvempu was also writing articles. He also creates groupism among Kannada and Tamil people.”
