Mysuru: Former minister and Congress leader from Belagavi Satish Jarkiholi ruled out the possibility of quitting the party to join Janata Dal (Secular) and confirmed that he had no role in Income Tax raids at his brother Ramesh Jarkiholi’s residence.
Reacting to reporters at Mysuru on January 27, Satish said he enjoyed a cordial relationship with the state chief minister and did not believe in lobbying for minister’s post.
The decision to drop or retain his brother in the Cabinet depends on party leadership and the CM, Satish said.
He said he would strive for the victory of Congress candidates in the ensuing by-elections in Gundlupet and Nanjangud Assembly constituencies.
He has spent valuable time in social service and strengthening the party at grass roots after coming out of the State Cabinet, Satish stated.
