Mysuru: Heavy rains on September 5 evening exposed the prevailing condition of Mysuru Railway Station platforms. The passengers were put into difficulties due to leakage from roofs.
When the rain started, passengers who were standing on platform 1 were forced to look for other place as its roof was leaking. The passengers rushed to the nearby offices and shops but unfortunately there also they faced a similar problem. However, with no other option, passengers were forced to continue standing in the office and shops which were found better than the platform.
Yeshwanth, one of the passengers who faced hardship said, “It was a really nightmare. The railway authorities speak about passenger comforts and safety but in reality, they are not keeping their words. On Tuesday, the prevailing condition of platforms and even offices were exposed.
