Mysuru: In a shocking twist to the incident of pictures of few students of Mysore University being uploaded on a porn site, the police have finally laid their hands on the culprit who happens to be a classmate of the victimised girls.
Jayant Kumar, 24, a final year student of environmental science and a resident of Vidyaranyapuram has confessed to the crime and has revealed that he did the same out of rage as some of the girls used to tease him calling him, a henchman of a particular professor.
The incident came to light when the girls started receiving lewd calls from men who visited a particular adult website. On discovering the fact that their numbers were up on a web portal that provided online link between sex workers and clients, the girls brought the issue to the notice of the university Registrar and then lodged a police complaint.
Couple of days ago, some of the girls from the said department had given in writing to the registrar and the HOD that they suspected role of one of their teachers with whom they had an argument over internal examination marks and during the argument the teacher had said that he would go to any extent to teach them a lesson.
