Mysuru: A statement made against media persons by a real-estate businessman who is also a second accused in Mysuru DC threatening case has courted controversy again and is likely to be booked.
The statement was made by real-estate businessman Manjunath a close associate of Congress leader Marigowda while he was arrested and was being taken to prison. Pointing out at the media persons, Manjunath reportedly told that the media persons have no ethics and that the media works on extorting people. Following his statement, another case is likely to be lodged against him.
Marigowda had threatened Mysuru DC Shikha for deciding to register complaint against Manjunath for encroaching government land.
Manjanath who is a second accused in the case was at home on Monday morning and the local media persons had spoken to him. The media persons in the evening hinted about Manjunath. Soon police went to his residence and arrested him. He was reportedly produced before the court in hurry and sent to jail.
