Mysuru based Paediatric surgeon dies of heart attack in Leh

Mysuru: An Assistant Professor of Department of Paediatric Surgery at JSS Hospital here died of cardiac arrest while on expedition to Leh in Jammu and Kashmir, on Monday.

The deceased is 35-year-old Dr R Kirthy Pramod, who was on a ten day bike expedition.

Dr Kirthy along with his friends left to Leh on June 23. They had started bike expedition to Ladakh from Leh before Kirthy suffered massive heart attack. Though he is native of Mandya he was residing in Mysuru at Chamarajapuram. Dr Shyam Prasad Shetty, Head of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, JSS Hospital said, “Dr Kirthy was very humble and cheerful doctor. We will miss him.”

Last rites will be held in Mandya on Wednesday. He leaves behind parents, wife and two-year-old son.
