Mysuru: The cars belonging to District In-charge Minister H C Mahadevappa and MLA M K Somashekar were involved in a road accident near Siramalli of H D Kote taluk today. Fortunately both escaped unhurt in the incident, where three cars were damaged in total.
A cavalcade of cars left Mysuru after the inaugural ceremony of Dasara-2017 this morning to Kabini reservoir, which is filled to the brim due to heavy downpour in catchment areas, to offer thanksgiving (in local dialect Baagina).
While returning from Kabini reservoir, cars belonging to Mahadevappa and Somashekar crashed into each other. Another car was also damaged in the incident.
Potholes on the road led to the accident, said witnesses at the accident spot.
