Leadership Business Summit for Women Entrepreneurs in Mysuru

Mysuru: The AGNI Leadership Centre in association with Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FKCCI), Mysore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI), Women in Small Enterprise (WISE) will be organising “Leadership Business Summit for Women Entrepreneurs” at Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) premise in Hebbal on April 29.

A S Satish, President, Mysuru Chamber of Commerce said, “As of now there are nearly 5 percent of women entrepreneurs in the district. In days to come, we want to increase it to 15 to 20 percent. During the one day summit various points related to women entrepreneurship will be taken up. To instil confidence among young and upcoming women entrepreneurs, successful women entrepreneurs will also be addressing the summit.

Geetha Sree, Vice President, Women in Small Enterprise (WISE), a wing of MCCI said, “During the summit, successful women entrepreneurs will be sharing their experience which will really motivate and guide the young and upcoming women counterparts. This platform will also help us to share knowledge and solve our problems. Apart from this, the submit will also help participants to overcome challenges.”

Anand Nair, Co-Founder and Managing Director said, “Women entrepreneurs in our country face several challenges in turning their professional dreams into successful realities. At AGNI Leadership Centre, we are extremely passionate about women entrepreneurship in India and we felt that there could be no better way than to organise such Summits to invite a large gathering of women entrepreneurs including the budding ones to interface with the best mentors and speakers on the subject and to discuss the challenges and opportunities in our country apart from the issues of fund raising and monetary control. These highly intellectual discussions would definitely assist in uplifting women entrepreneurs not only within the nation but on a global platform.” Christy Paul, Co-Founder and Director was also present.

The key strategic areas that will be covered in this summit are Women Entrepreneurs: Challenges and Opportunities, Fundraising and Monetary Control. More than 100 women entrepreneurs will be participating in this Leadership Business Summit. There will be two panel discussions on each of these topics chaired by eminent women entrepreneurs and will aim to throw light on most of the challenges and opportunities that women entrepreneurs face in our country. During the summit various government facilities for women entrepreneurs including allocation of 50 acre land for Women Entrepreneurs Park at Adakanahalli in Nanjankaud Taluk and about Rs 2 Crore financial assistance for them will also be discussed.
