Mysuru: In a shocking incident, a woman who was alone at her home was robbed of her valuables in broad daylight on Saturday, September 24.

It is gathered that three robbers entered 56-year-old Yamuna’s house compound at around 11.30 in the morning in the pretext of seeking drinking water. When Yamuna walked inside to provide drinking water, the robbers followed her and attacked her. They tied her hands and legs and stuffed cloth into her mouth so that none could hear her cries. They later ransacked the entire house and walked out with the booty.

The neighbors admitted an injured Yamuna to a nearby hospital. It is suspected, a woman too was a part of the three member robbery gang.

CCTV footage has vital clues

Soon after the incident, police along with the canine squad and forensic experts rushed to the spot. The police collected the CCTV footage from outside the house and other associated equipment which has the recording of the entire robbery incident.

A case has been registered at Vidayranyapuram police station.
