Mysuru: The six day royal wedding celebrations came to an end with a procession for the public within the palace premises accompanied by the band and pujas to the deities of the palace. Royal splendour, desire for an ‘off-spring’ was visible on the last day of celebrations at the world renowned Amba Vilas palace.

Rajmatha welcomes bride
In the afternoon around 2.45pm, Rajmatha welcomed the new bride through the Madana entrance of the palace into their new palatial residence. Later Yaduveer’s father-in-law offered a special puja for his new son-in-law.
Bride gets a second necklace
After performing the traditional Nagoli ritual, the groom tied a second necklace which was later followed by the traditional house hold ceremony of exchanging betel leaf – areca combo (Tamboola) between the two royal families.
Swing Ceremony
The royal couple enjoyed the swing ceremony (Thottilu Shastra) when they sat on the swing which is designed in the form of a cradle. Smiles and laughter filled the room as they swayed in the little swing. The desire for a royal baby was evident during the time.
Procession in an expensive car
In the evening, the newly married royal couple went around in an expensive car expressing gratitude to the public, where the public got an opportunity to have a close look at the couple in the palace premises. With the final procession, curtains came down on the royal wedding which was a major event during this year.
