Mysuru: The Reserve Bank of India currency paper unit in Mysuru caught fire on Monday, July 25 following a boiler blast. Reportedly, after three hours of operation, the fire fighter could get the fire under control. No casualties have been reported.
As per sources, fire was first seen in two boilers of the unit at Metagalli Industrial Area and on intimation, the RBI fire fighters, Saraswathipuram fire personnel and Bannimantapa fire fighters together held the operation to douse off the fire. All the employees working at the unit are safe.
