Mysuru: A former lover harassing his widow friend got severely beaten by the latter at the Mysore City Corporation (MCC) premises on March 7.
Gayathri, an employee at MCC thrashed her former lover with footwear, helmet and bare hands with hundreds of people watching her in action. Yathiraj is alleged to have made several calls and sent SMS messages in inebriated state for dating Gayathri.
When she refused to respond, he ended up at her office and started tormenting her.
Unable to bear his harassment, Gayathri resorted to offensive mode to get rid of him. Gayathri’s husband had died some time ago. Gayathri had succeeded in getting deceased husband’s job on compassionate grounds at Mysuru City Corporation.
Spurned lover Yathiraj had played a vital role in Gayathri securing a job, it is gathered!
