Mysuru: Dejected with the move of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who has axed him from the state cabinet, former revenue minister V Srinivas Prasad said that he will be taking political retirement.

Addressing the reporters at his residence in Mysuru on Monday, Prasad said that he will never contest elections in future and that in next two days he will make some crucial decisions.
Taking a dig at senior Congress leader Mallikarjuna Kharge, Prasad said that the prior’s love for his son (Priyanka Kharge) made him do all that was possible to mete out injustice upon others.
“Kharge would have to pay a very heavy price for the same in near future,” said Prasad.
After the CM snatched away the ministerial berth from Srinivas Prasad, the latter residence has become a bustling hot-spot of political activities. It is said that JD(S) Supremo H D Deve Gowda has a telephonic conversation with Prasad on Sunday evening. Soon JD(S) MLA Sara Mahesh was seen having talks with Prasad, making way for speculations.
