Dasara: Doctors and ambulance facility at prominent venues

Mysuru: In view of the Naada Habba Dasara inorder to cater to thousands of people from various places in Mysuru, the district health department will not only set up health kiosks at prominent tourist spots but also depute doctors and provide ambulance facility at various venues including Food Mela, Yuva Dasara and Chamundi Vihar stadium where the state level Dasara Sports Meet will begin from September 21 to 24. The round-the-clock health facility will be provided from September 21 to 30.

B Basavaraj, District Health Officer said, “Since large number of people are expected during Dasara, we will be setting up health kiosks at Chamundi Hill, Zoo, Palace and even at railway station. Apart from this, a temporary hospital where the patients will be provided first aid will be set up in the Exhibition Ground premise. Wherever there are important events where more number of footfalls are expected including marathon, Yuva Dasara, Chamundi Vihar Stadium and wrestling events, we will have a doctor, nurse and an assistant along with ambulance facility. Nearly over 30 doctors and 20 ambulances will be pressed into service for Dasara duty. We have also given instructions to five private well-equipped hospitals to reserve wards to treat VVIPs in case of any emergencies.

Free blood pressure and sugar test:

At exhibition ground, a stall will be exclusively reserved for health purpose. Those above 40 years of age can get their BP and sugar levels tested.
