Mysuru: The City Police Commissioner has restricted the entry of private vehicles atop Chamundi Hills during Dasara to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Due to the lack of space for vehicular parking on Chamundi Hills in the backdrop of Dasara due to innumerable tourist vehicles plying enroute, restrictions have been imposed from 21/9/2017 to 24/9/2017 and 28/9/17 to 02/10/2017. Vehicles will not be permitted from 6 am to 10 pm on all days, when restrictions are in force.
The district administration has arranged transport service for public from the Lalit Mahal helipad to Chamundi Hills. All visitors and tourists will be allowed to park their respective vehicles on the large ground near the Lalit Mahal helipad and then use the public transport provided by the district administration to reach Chamundi Hills.
