Mysore: After all attempts to draw the attention of civic authorities to close the manhole on a busy lane here failed, an artist used his creativity to solve the problem in a jiffy.
The man hole remained open for months and none from the Mysuru City Corporation bothered to close it. Artist Badal Nanjunadaswamy employed Gandhi’s spectacles associated with Swacch Bharath Abhiyan (SBA) to highlight the problem and suddenly the manhole appeared bigger than ever before to the civic authorities.
They initiated action to solve the problem after the artist’s work grabbed attention on Facebook page soon after it was uploaded.
Prudent citizens can resort to multiple ways to get problems solved by taking a leaf out of Badal Nanjundaswamy’s creative work.
