Mysuru: In what seemed like a flick from a movie, a businessman was duped of seven lakh rupees by a duo here in Nanjangud area.
Reportedly Ganesh, owner of Sri Ganesh rice mills had withdrawn a sum of Rs seven lakhs from a bank here and was just about to get into his car with the bag containing the money when he was approached by a person who told him that he had dropped the notes from his bag.
The businessman without doubting the integrity of the person turned to check if the notes were lying on the ground while another member of the team escaped with the money bag by opening the other door of the car.
As an alarm was raised, the other gang member too escaped from the scene pretending to chase the thief.
A complaint has been lodged with Nanjangud police station.
