CM announces multispeciality hospital in Mysuru

Mysuru: “After the sanctioning of the much needed district hospital in ED Hospital premise in Mysuru, inorder to provide quality health service from health experts to the people of Mysuru, we will also come out with a super speciality hospital at an expenditure of Rs 700 Crore, said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He also assured to make Mysuru a model city in the country.

Cabinet approves proposal to amend solar policy-1Speaking after inaugurating various developmental works and facilities worth Rs 195 Crore at Krishnaraja Constituency represented by Congress MLA M K Somashekar here on Sunday, he said, “Mysuru city has emerged as the cleanest city in the country for the past two consecutive years. The city should be considered exemplary across the country and hence I am sanctioning all the projects including widening and concretisation of roads, health and education facilities. In the last three and half years, that is since we came to power, I have sanctioned Rs 350 Crore to Mysuru City Corporation alone and overall Rs 960 Crores for the district. We have come out with various health projects for Mysuru city including the ongoing construction of Jayadeva Hospital, Trauma centre and district hospital. To provide a much better health facility from the health experts under one roof we are planning to come out with a multispeciality hospital.”

He also mentioned that in the forthcoming budget which was scheduled to be tabled in the second week of March, additional money would be allocated for the renovation of Lansdowne and Devaraja Market buildings. Apart from this, based on the request from Corporator Suneel from ward no 10, he also assured to provide money to reduce foul smell emanating from sewage treatment plant at J P Nagar.

More rice under Anna Bhagya

“Many people have requested an increase in the quantity of free rice given to them. At present we are giving 5 kg of rice. In the coming budget, we will be enhancing the quantity of rice”, added Siddramaiah. There are speculations that it will be enhanced from 5 kg to 8 kg. He also mentioned that all Pourakarmikas who are working on contract basis across the state will be absorbed in a phased manner:

All wards across the city to get drinking water every day

As of now, among 65 wards under Mysuru City Corporation, 56 are getting drinking water everyday. Once the proposed construction and renovation of water tanks which is being undertaken at Vijayanagar is completed, the rest of the wards will get water everyday.

Title deeds to the residents at Yele Thota

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah called upon Deputy Commissioner D Randeep and Corporation Commissioner Jagadeesh to conduct inspection and provide title deeds to the beneficiaries of Yele Thota. There are nearly 270 beneficiaries in the area.
