Mysuru: As a continuation to the fist fight that broke out at Palace Grounds on Thursday between supporters of BJP titans-BSY and K S Eshwarappa, another episode unfurled in Mysuru where the supporters of the two leaders resorted to mudslinging.
The commotion broke out on Friday when state BJP OBC Morcha chief B J Puttaswamy, who is a close aide of the former CM B S Yeddyurappa resorted to making a statement against K S Eshwarappa while addressing mediapersons at BJP office after welcoming into party fold B M Nataraj, a JD(S) corporator from Mysuru City Corporation.
“Eshwarappa is indulging into anti-party activities,” Puttaswamy said. Instantly raged supporters of Eshwarappa interrupted Puttaswamy and demanded he stopped his speech. The supporters of Yeddyurappa, who too were in good numbers opposed the high-handedness of Eshwarappa’s supporters. Timely intervention of the police pulled curtains down on the episode.
The feud between the two leaders is turning into a major crisis for the BJP, which has been winning over unexpected terrains across the nation. As the assembly election is slated to be held in Karnataka in 2018, bringing together the two leaders is a must and as of now for the BJP, but it so seems that it is going to be a herculean task for the national BJP leadership.
