NANO taxi service in Mysore launched

Mysore : Nano taxi service was formally launched by District in-Charge Minister V. Sreenivasa Prasad at a function held at Hotel Regaalis here on August 9.

The Tata Group for the first time in city has introduced Nano taxi service through Tomio Travels Private Limited.

Speaking on the occasion, Prasad said that the Nano taxies would be of immense help for tourists visiting the city. He added that the service would be a welcome attraction during Dasara in view of its safety, people-friendliness and price factor.

Participating in the function, former MLC D. Madegowda said that the government had declared Mysore, Kodagu, Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts as ‘Cauvery Circuit’ which has over 300 tourist spots and inter-connecting them would boost tourism.

Syndicate Bank Regional Office DGM G.C. Mattalli, AGM Narayanagowda, Mysore-Chamarajanagar District Vokkaliga Sangha President M. Basavegowda and others were present.

Available round-the-clock, the minimum fare for a distance of 4 km in Nano taxi is Rs. 70 and further for every km, it is Rs. 14.50. The taxi is fitted with GPS and air-conditioned. The service is available to any destination by booking on Ph: 0821-2424444.
