Mysore: The 3 day Inter collegiate cultural competition concluded on 29th of Oct. Students from colleges affiliated to the Mysore University participated in the various events.
Manasagangothri students won the overall trophy.
Chief Guest M N Natraj, Zilla Samanvaya Officer, Nehru Youth Centre Mysore said, “India has got a 125 crore population, but only few are interested in cultural events. In order to get good knowledge and good command over our history, students should take part in cultural events. The Govt has provided schemes and centres for youth to showcase their talent like NSS, Nehru Youth Centre etc. Students should utilize these schemes and build their career”.
The valedictory function was presided over by C Basavaraju Registrar of University of Mysore.
The winners will take part in the inter university south zone competition which will held in Dec 2014 at Tumkur University where students from different universities and south Indian states like Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala will also be taking part.
