Minister launches All-women patrol vehicle Chamundi Vanitha Sahayavani

Mysore:  Mysore District in-charge Minister V Srinivas Prasad has said  that the Centre as well as the State Government has enacted  laws which ensure the strictest of punishment to sexual offenders in order to put a check to the cases of sexual crimes against women.

Speaking after launching the all-woman patrol vehicle “Chamundi Vanitha Sahayavani in Mysore, the minister said the new facility will help trap those who resort to eve teasing in vicinity of schools and colleges. The officials have been instructed to initiate stern action against those misbehaving with women, he informed.

Even the Assembly has approved invoking of Goonda Act to check sexual offences, he said.

The Government is making arrangements to celebrate the world famous Mysore Dasara in a grand manner. On the private darbar held in the Mysore Palace, he said it  was a matter pertaining to the royal clan and the government had nothing to do with it.
