Mysuru: The Lokayukta raided a house at Tunga road, Ragavendranagar, a flat in silver terrace apartment in Bengaluru, KSFC housing building co-operative society, Mysore, a commercially vacant site in Devaraja Mohalla and a house in Padmanabha nagar, Bengaluru.
Friday’s raids were a part of state-wide operations on officers who have amassed assets that are disproportionate to their known sources of income. Raids were conducted on the offices and houses of 7 officers in Kolar, Raichur, Vijayapura, Bidar, Kalaburgi, Mysuru, Mandya and Bengaluru.
According to Lokayukta sources 14 places including the houses of relatives of these seven officers have been raided. The raid was a meticulously planned operation after many complaints were received against these officers.The Lokayukta sleuths have seized immovable assets worth Rs 1,27,06,300. They have also seized Hyundai Santro car, 595 gms Gold and jewellry, 2.896 KG of Silver Ornaments and Rs. 80,870 cash. the police have also raided his banks and seized 1.48 lakh cash which was held in different banks in Mysuru, Bengaluru, and Mandya district. The Lokayukta have seized a to total of Rs. 25,64,690 approximately movable properties in the raid.
The team was led by Ramanagaram Lokayukta Superintendent of Police Narayanaswamy.
“Suo-moto cases have been lodged against the officers and we had formed eight teams to raid the houses,” sources said.
