Mysore: The Karnataka State Women commission conducted a meeting to discuss way to prevent atrocities against women in the society.
The meeting was held on Monday July 21, at the district commissioner’s Office in Mysore under the leadership of Manjula Manasa the president of the commission.
Police officers, lawyers, doctors, officers from education department, NGO representatives and other governmental officials participated in the meeting and shared their ideas to prevent the harassment on women in the society with the Commissioner.
Manjula Manasa said that schools should provide moral education and teachers should become the role model for the students.
She also said strict action should be taken against child marriage in the society.
In order to prevent such acts against women, social awareness should be created in the society and asked all officials to work on this and update her with results as soon as possible.
