Mysore : Literary, cultural and Sports committee inauguration was held at JSS women’s college Mysore here on July 22.
The inaugural function was presided over by Prof T D Subbanna Director,Education Department JSS college.
Sarva Mangala, Vice chancellor, Dr Gangu Bai Hangal Music and Arts University Mysore and Pooja Venkatesh, Ekalavya Award winner and International Tennis player were chief guests at the function.
Dr Sarva Mangala said education is the main pillar of life and everyone should concentrate well during the college life. Music and sports are also as important as education in college life because they helpful to maintain to body, health and happiness in life.
She also said Mysore has given many legends to the music world and sports too, so students should take them as role models and attain success in their life.
Adding to that M P Rajeshwari,Principal JSS womens college Saraswathipuram, Mysore said that students should utilize the resources provided by the college and improve in the field of sports, music and other arts.
Pooja Venkatesh said that she is glad to be part of inaugural function and wished all students well for their education and career.
Dr Sarva Mangala, Vice chancellor, Dr Gangu Bai Hangal Music and Arts University Mysore, also distributed certificates to the elected representatives in respective departments.
