Impostor dupes two electronic shops in city

Mysuru: An inter-state thief has been arrested by the NR Police for cheating electronic shops in the city.

Imam Razaq Hussain, a resident of Vidyaranyapuram in Bengaluru been posing as the purchasing manager of of Columbia Asia Hospital duped two electronic shops in the city of 22 television sets. He had recently returned from Singapore, Hussain, used the commercial telephone directory – Just Dial to track the shops and get their contact details.

He contacted the two shops as Pramod, purchasing manager of Columbia Asia Hospital and bought 22 television sets after saying he will pay for them later. Hussain used a fake id card to obtain a new sim card to turn into Pramod. This transaction happened on February 5th.

NR Police Station Inspector Gajendra Prasad, Sub Inspector Shabeer Hussain, Police officers Manjunath, Ramesh, and Mahadev were instrumental in catching Pramod alias Imam Razaq Hussain.
