Mysore :A four-wheeler and wooden logs from a government school in Kurubarahalli in Mysore has been seized by Forest officials.
The officials raided the school premises and took four logs, and a goods vehicle used to transport the logs into their possession. The logs are said to have been cut from trees allegedly felled by the school authorities without permission.
School teachers have claimed they removed the trees because they were posing threat to the old school building and in view of safety of children trees were axed immediately before any untoward incident happen.
An officer confirmed that a case has been booked against the school authorities for allegedly axing grown-up tress without consent.
