Mysuru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) Police arrested five people in a raid on a gambling den at Room No. 214, 1st floor, Hotel Maharaja, No. 365, JLB Road, on Mar. 26 and seized Rs 20,260 which was at stake and seven mobile phones from them.
The arrested have been identified as Swathikumar son of Manjunath, a resident of HUDCO Layout, Bannimantap, Mysuru, Dhananjay, son of Shivanna, a resident of Doddakoppal, K.R. Nagar taluk, Mysuru, Naveen, son of Mahadevaiah, Ramakrishna Nagar, Mysuru, Nagaraju, son of Mariyappa, Chamaraja Double Road, Mysuru and B. Mohan, son of Balasubramanyam, K.R. Mohalla, Mysuru.
According to a press release by the Police Commissioner’s Office, the raid was conducted by Mysuru City Crime Branch DCP M.M. Mahadevaiah along with CCB ACP K.N. Madaiah, CCB Inspector H.T. Sunil Kumar, P.A. Sooraj, PSI M.J. Jayasheelan and ASIs A. George and Shantharaju.
