Mysuru: Farmers from Chunchanakatte village marched up to the DC office in protest and handed over a request to DC to reopen the sugar factory which is closed resulting many farmers are going huge loss.
Many requests from Karnataka State Farmers committee had been given to state government on the same, but there was no response from the authorities, they added.
They demanded the implementation of new technology in the factory and that the factory administration should be given to local Co-Management Board and a good price be provided for their yield.
They said that the the protest march would continue to Bengaluru and a demand letter would be given to the CM as well.
