Mysore: A city engineer reportedly committed suicide by hanging from a tree in Nazarbad Police Station limits last night.

The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Santosh, son of Mariyappa, a resident of University Quarters in Manasagangotri.

Santosh, who previously worked for Metro Rail in Bangalore, was presently associated with the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET) at Hebbal Industrial Area.

Although a bright engineer, Santosh was suffering from phobias, inferiority complex and depression, it is learnt.

Santosh, who left home last evening on a bicycle, ended his life by hanging from a tree at the park near the Community Hall at Alanahalli on T Narasipura road.

Morning strollers at the park, who noticed the body hanging from a tree, informed the matter to the Nazarbad Police, who rushed to the spot. A note found on his person at the spot held no one responsible for his death, it is learnt.

Nazarbad Police have registered a case in this regard.
