Mysuru: The District Administration Mysuru, Zilla Panchayat Women and Children Welfare Department, and the Public Education Department celebrated Children’s Festival at Vana Ranga Mysuru on Wednesday December 17.
Inaugurating the festival, Zilla Panchayat president Pushpa Amarnath said that incidents like harassment of children and women, and the failure in controlling such events has disgraced the name of society in the world.
Amarnath asserted “we should become one and fight against these incidents and build a secure society for children and women”.
“Corruption and anti-environmental activities should be also controlled”, she added.
Children from different schools performed during the cultural programs. Performance of differently-abled children inspired the audience.
Vice President L Madappa, and Javare Gowda President Social and Justice Committee were present.
