City police crack 11 theft cases, 12 nabbed

Mysore :With the arrest of 12 persons, the City Police have cracked eleven theft cases and a cheating case, including eight temple burglaries reported recently across the city.

Announcing this at a press meet at his office here this morning, City Police Commissioner Dr. M.A. Saleem said that four persons have been arrested by the CCB Police in connection with eight temple thefts and articles worth about Rs. 5.10 lakh were recovered from them.

The four arrested have been identified as Krishna alias Handituti, 34, Kabbalu, 22, Arjuna alias Bajaka, 19 all stove repairers and residents of hutments near Ballal Circle, Lakshmipuram and Mayura, 28, a balloon seller and resident of Yellamma Colony in Bannimantap.
