Mysuru: The blame game indulged in by elected representatives over the absence of Taluk Panchayat officials created chaos here in Taluk Panchayat meeting held at Mini Vidhana Soudha on Friday.
Taluk Panchayat member Raghu said, “The government funds which have been released to the Taluk Panchayat was not properly utilised and out of 72 development works only 12 works have been completed. Only Rs 50 lakhs have been used out of the Rs 3 crore fund. The funds which are not utilised will be taken back by the government and executive engineer Raghu is responsible for the negligence.”
But Raghu was not present during the meeting which enraged the elected representatives and Mahendra also alleged that Raghu had claimed that he doesn’t have to show interest in attending Taluk Panchayat meeting. He said that he has audio proof for it.
Later at 1.30 Raghu came to the meeting and said he had a meeting and when the elected members blamed Raghu, he said that the other development works will be initiated in a week.
More than meeting, the verbal war of elected representatives overshadowed the discussion in the meeting.
