Mysuru: Still people are not getting the basic intent and the gap between rich and poor is increasing since the programs from central and state govt have failed to reach people said District Incharge and state revenue minister V Srinivas Prasad in his speech on Republic Day.
After hoisting the flag, speaking to the gathering, he opined that though India has got a remarkable reach in fields like science and technology and rich in man power just because of corruption and bureaucracy the Indian Republic looks like Banana Republic.
Service oriented politics and a committed civil society is very much necessary and we need to follow the rules in order avoid crimes he added.
Speaking on youth he said the youth are not careless, they are cared less, they are not useless but used less.
Dr M A Saleem Commissioner of Police C Shikha Deputy commissioner, Abhinav Khare Superintendent of Police, Pushpa Amarnath ZP President, Vasu,MLA Chamaraja Constituency, Tanveer Sait MLA Narsimharaja Constituency, R Lingappa Mayor were also present at the Republic Day celebration. Twenty nine different groups took part in the parade including school children and police forces.
School children performed the cultural program in the backdrop of patriotic songs.
