Dasara procession to start late this year:

The Dasara procession on Vijaya Dashami day will start at 4.45 pm, which is posing a threat to the Dasara jumbos. Usually the procession would start by 1.30 pm. This time, the Mysuru royal family’s rituals associated with Dasara has pushed it to 4.45 pm. The problem is the Dasara jumbos led by Arjuna will have less than 2 hours to reach its destination at Banni Mantap Grounds where the cannon is fired when guard of honour is extended to the Governor at the start of Torchlight Parade.
