Mysuru: The applications for annual summer camp “Chinnara Mela” sold like hot cakes here. Soon after issuing the application, in less than 30 minutes, 300 applications were sold out disappointing hundreds of deprived parents and children. The one month long camp will start from April 10.
Some parents along with their children were standing in queue from 3 am. Once the counter was opened, the forms were sold out within minutes leaving several aspirants disappointed. As part of the Chinnara Mela, Rangayana will train children on various topics and the children will be introduced to the world of arts including fine arts. Children in the age group between 7 and 14 years are eligible to take part in the camp.
As part of the camp, a special magic show by Suma Rajkumar, a face-to-face interaction with C V Nagaraj on food and health, musical concert by Vasu Dixit, storytelling by Dr H S Ramachandregowda and various other programmes have been lined up.
Sia Bamansa Khode, National Bravery Award winner will inaugurate the camp on April 10. Kalaprasasti awardee international yoga artiste Khushi will preside over the function.
